Well, this deck is purely based around Garchomp and Altaria. Altaria is key in this deck to make Garchomp more powerful with its ability, Fight Song which allows your Dragon Pokémon to do 20 more damage to the opponents active! This Pokémon is a great addition to this deck being as it can max out Garchomp’s attack to 180 damage, KOing all current EX’s! That is of course if you have 4 Altaria on your bench! Now for Garchomp, it has a great first attack called Mach cut which does 60 damage for only 1 fighting energy and it also allows you to discard a special energy attached to the defending Pokémon! This is a cheap and easy attack to use and its next attack Dragonblade which only uses 1 fighting energy and 1 water energy, which is still quite cheap with only an energy cost of 2 energy - this attack does100 damage but you have to discard the top 2 cards of your deck.
So let’s look at the list:
Pokémon – 22
4 Gible DRX
3 Gabite DRX
4 Garchomp DRX
4 Swablu DRX
4 Altaria DRX
3 Emolga DRX
Trainers – 27
4 N
4 Professor Juniper
4 Bianca
4 Level Ball
4 Pokemon Catcher
3 Rare Candy
2 Super Rod
2 Max Potion
Energy – 11
7 Fighting
4 Blend WLFM
As you can see in this list there are 4 Garchomp and 4 Altaria which makes the deck much more consistent and can max out Garchomp’s damage (without using Pluspower). There are 3 Emolga in this deck so you can use Emolga’s call for family attack to get all your basics down as fast as possible and start hitting for a 120 on turn 3 or even turn 2!
You don’t really want to edit this deck too much since this deck came second at The Battle Carnival B-league in Japan so it must be a very competitive and great deck to play. You can probably make a few small tweaks here and there when the next sets come out and to finish it off and make it an awesome deck to play!
