Opting in for Play Points and your online Trainer Club Account
To get Play Points you need to opt in to participate in all available Play Pokémon Programs.
First off, you’re going to need a trainer club account on the Pokémon web site.
If you don’t already have an account, go to http://www.Pokémon.com and select Join Now in the top right corner. If
you are under 13 years of age you’ll need a parent or guardian to create an account for themselves first as they will need to authorise your account to participate in Play Pokémon programs. Please don’t cheat by saying you are older
than you really are because when you link your trainer account with your POP ID it will put you in the wrong age group. When you’ve created the account(s) you (or your parent/guardian) will receive an email which you will need to action to
verify your account.
Parents or guardians can view a full guide with screen shots here
Once you have an active trainer club account, login to http://www.Pokémon.com with your account name and password. View your account profile (or as a parent click on your child’s account) and click on the My Play Pokémon tab.
You will need enter your POP ID and PIN number (given to you on a card by Joanna when you first registered with our league) to associate this with your trainer club account. If you don’t know your POP ID or have lost your PIN number, please speak to Joanna.
Once your POP ID is linked to your trainer club account you will need to edit your profile (or ask your parent/guardian) and scroll down to the Play! Pokémon Preferences section. Here you need to check the ‘Yes, I want to participate in all Play! Pokémon Programs. Select Save and you’re done. You are now opted in to receive Play Points from any leagues and tournaments you
participate in.
At the league we don’t have access to edit any accounts and so we can’t resolve any problems with your account directly. You can raise a support request direct with the Pokémon company at http://support.pokemon.com
If you still can’t get an issue resolved then please inform Joanna and she will pass on your problem to the head of Pokémon
UK.
